Ben O'Hara

Non-Executive Director

Hi, I’m Ben, and I serve as a Non-Executive Director on our Senior Leadership Team. I contribute my time to the club as a volunteer, providing strategic oversight and professional guidance to ensure we remain a thriving part of the community. I took on my role as a director in 2020, and since then I have been proud to help lead our successful transition from a CASC into a registered charity.

In my professional life, I work within the public sector, and I bring that corporate knowledge and strategic thinking to help guide the club’s operations. I provide a high level of technical expertise to our leadership, specifically regarding data, analysis, and digital infrastructure. I am responsible for setting up our systems and ensuring we get the best possible use out of the software available to us, allowing our staff to focus on what they do best while the "behind the scenes" runs as efficiently as possible.

My commitment to the club is deeply personal and is rooted in my experience as a parent. I first walked through these doors over a decade ago when both of my children started gymnastics as three-year-olds. Now aged 14 and 12, they are still active members today. Having been a "gym parent" for eleven years, I have seen first-hand the positive impact this club has on young people’s confidence and resilience. I am dedicated to ensuring that the same high-quality, sustainable, and charitable environment remains available for every family that joins us.
